| wow, it has been a while. and this will be short. beyond busy right now being a busy little med student and moving next week and then fun little trip...
this is for all of those people out in the boonies (mid-west) and the east coast...
but i will be in these areas for the next few months "auditioning" for residency programs.
will be in the detroit, michigan area from mid-aug to mid-sept
philly and new jersey area from mid-sept - mid-oct,
and finally back to michigan, more in the grand blanc/flynt area from mid-oct to mid-nov.
i honestly do not remember who is where but if you are in these areas it would be great to meet up sometime.
of course i have been working 100+ hrs/wk on my current rotation so i have no idea if i will actually have the time to meet up, but please let me know if you're around.

now i get to look forward to 530am-530pm days on my ob/gyn rotation for the next six weeks. whoohoo! here's to looking forward to delivering babies and screaming mommies, being on call, getting pimped, and never getting any sleep.
and definitely, here's to hoping that i won't be hearing on the hospital intercom..."student dr. lu, student dr. lu, please stop whatever it is you are doing, back away from the patient, repeat, back away from the patient, and report to the conference room immediately. we are pulling you from your rotation effective immediately because you failed your board exams...miserably."
oh how i wish i was joking about that. wah.

| hmm, i don't think i'm making my 1% improvement a day quota...not good.
studying is going...got a little over 2 weeks to go...just finished "understanding" all the material...i must say, med school makes so much more sense now.  now, time to really start the brute memorization. sigh...
anyway, favor to ask all you san diego people. does anyone have housing available for a one month sublet (june 24th-july 20th). it's for a long time friend and classmate who is doing a rotation in coronado for those 4 weeks. female, christian, nice, considerate, all that stuff. lemme know please.

but does anyone know of a person who might need housing in the la area from late june/early july - late aug? i'm in a huge bind and i need to find someone to sublet my room. rent would be $500 per month, all utilities including high speed internet and cable w/ hbo included. anyone? anyone?? any leads at all?! you would seriously be my hero right now. long term arrangements could me made as well, but rent would be higher starting in sept.

i promise to be a little more present in this here xanga bubble after my board exams in june. assuming i pass, then i will finally be done with my pre-clinical/basic science portion of med school and on my hospital rotations. whoohoo!
now i'm off to cram for a test...and another, and another, and another...
then i've got t-minus 40 days for this darn board thing...sigh...i'm getting 30-40% on my practice questions so far...that's beyond discouraging...that means i have to average a 1% increase per day just to pass this frickin thing...blah!
